Backend Software Engineer
Najmush Saaquib
Backend engineer with 3.7 years shipping Java microservices and event-driven systems — now working deep in cloud infrastructure and platform reliability.
Who I am

I'm a backend software engineer based in Bangalore, India — originally from Gopalganj, Bihar, raised in Delhi. I focus on building reliable, scalable systems: distributed architectures, microservices, event-driven pipelines, and APIs designed to hold up as products grow.
I enjoy understanding how systems evolve under scale and prefer environments where engineers work closely to solve real problems. My primary background is Java and Spring Boot. At Capillary Technologies, I've moved into Platform & Infrastructure — working on AWS, cloud reliability, and distributed system performance.
Where I've worked
Capillary Technologies
CurrentSenior Software Development Engineer · Jan 2026 — Present
- Took full ownership of FT Extensions (Loopback 4), a critical platform service with knowledge siloed in a single architect — mapped the system end-to-end and proposed an automated test suite to improve reliability and observability.
- Transitioned to Platform & Infrastructure to bridge a resourcing gap; currently working on AWS infrastructure, service performance, and distributed system reliability.
NoBroker Technologies
Senior Software Development Engineer · July 2022 — January 2026
- Promoted to Senior SDE in July 2025 for consistent ownership of critical platform systems across the engineering org.
- Built end-to-end B2B AC Cleaning Subscription system — billing, scheduling, and automated partner allocation — generating ₹48L+ in new revenue through enterprise vendor onboarding.
- Led revamp of the My Bookings platform, consolidating booking management, cancellations, rescheduling, refunds, and subscriptions into a single unified system.
- Designed Redis-backed real-time APIs powering the NoBroker homepage for 100K+ daily active users, improving latency and doubling view-to-click conversion rates.
- Developed event-driven Kafka pipelines for real-time data ingestion and processing, reducing API response times by 60%.
- Built a communication aggregation layer unifying SMS, WhatsApp, and Email into a single API surface, enabling 360° customer visibility for support teams.
Things I've built
FT Extensions Platform
Took sole ownership of FT Extensions (Loopback 4), a critical platform service previously siloed in a single architect. Mapped the system end-to-end, documented internals, and designed an automated test suite to improve reliability and observability.
B2B AC Cleaning Subscriptions
End-to-end subscription product: recurring billing engine, dynamic scheduling, and automated partner allocation for a B2B services vertical.
Redis-Optimised Homepage APIs
Designed and built low-latency read APIs with aggressive Redis caching strategies powering the NoBroker public homepage.
My Bookings Platform
Consolidated booking management, cancellations, refund processing, and subscriptions into a single unified platform, replacing fragmented legacy flows.
Communication Aggregation Layer
Built a single API surface that unified SMS, WhatsApp, and Email delivery — abstracting vendor-specific logic behind a consistent interface.
